On World AIDS Day there is a training program for persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs) conducted with the objective of motivating persons living with HIV/AIDS in Pondicherry state to step forward and begin the process of healing. This is also an attempt to develop a scope of how large the problem is within the State of Pondicherry. With this information we hope to develop a strategy in order to make treatment more accessible to those in need. In the last World Aids Day, we covered six major topics in positive prevention, through an open group discussion and film screening method. The topics included “Facts you need to know”, “Safer Sex”, “Telling your partner”, “Disclosure”, “Mental Health” and “Stigma and Discrimination”. At the end of training program there was a panel discussion organized among and for the participants.
